Ghost Fern

Ghost fern (Athyrium x Ghost) is a cross between our native Lady fern (Athyrium filix-femina) and the Japanese Painted Fern. (Athyrium niponicum var. pictum), offering the best of both parents. While not quite as showy as Painted Fern, it is a much stronger grower due to the vigor it obtains from the Lady Fern. Its lacy textured, subtle silvery foliage acts as a wonderful accent, contrasting with the bolder green foliage of many other shade plants.
